Developing a clear brief is the starting point for the Gentech Design Team. This is undertaken by the project leader working closely with the customer. Once established the brief becomes the focal point of a Team brainstorming session to identify all possible combinations of technology and design options.

Each of the options is then put through a well developed evaluation process to identify a short list of those most likely to deliver the optimum solution.

The short listed options are then designed using eCAD to produce 2-dimensional drawings which can be animated and shown graphically in 3-dimensional mode. This process enables the Gentech Team to demonstrate the concept's physical design and visual appearance and to agree with the customer the most efficient solution.

Fast and cost effective SLA modelling is then commissioned to prove the practicality of the design and to confirm its dynamic characteristics.

This approach enables Gentech to swiftly bring to market a solution that is cost effective, robust and superior to an adapted off-the-shelf product.
